I Didn't Come to New Zealand to Sightsee.
I came to find a version of myself that the modern world had erased.
My name is Mani.
Like many of you, I spent years trapped in the "Circle." The loop of working to live, and living to work. The anxiety of the city, the noise of the digital world, and the quiet desperation of wondering, "Is this all there is?"
I wasn't just tired. I was disconnected. Disconnected from the earth, and disconnected from my own soul.
In 2013, I made a choice that terrified me. I left everything I knew and moved to New Zealand (Aotearoa).
"Nature didn't just offer me a view. It offered me a mirror. For the first time, I saw who I actually was."
Over the last decade, I have walked over 200 trails. I have stood in freezing rivers, climbed peaks that sit above the clouds, and sat in silence in the deepest forests.
What I found wasn't just "scenery." I found Medicine.
I realized that the anxiety we feel isn't a disease; it's a symptom of separation. We are nature, trying to live inside concrete boxes. The moment you step back into the wild, the healing begins instantly.
